LIMPS
Hello Saints of God, we learn in our walk with God that sometimes we stumble, misstep, trip up, or fall down. In either case there is a process of getting back up. Sometimes these incidents can leave you with a defect, injury, bruise, or something that needs to be fix, restored, or renewed. Whatever way the situation leaves you, you are in need of support in order to continue on the path The Lord sets for you, some Limps become a way of life and has to be managed in order to keep your footing. Over the past few years I have been through some bumps and bruises, and some major setbacks, but God. Some roads are so rocky that a slip or stumble may leave you with a Limp, It is up to us whether we allow this Limp to take you off track as we press for the mark of The High Calling In Christ.
God allows the incidents, missteps, trip ups, fall downs because sometimes we tend to forget we did not get here on our own. Our sin nature is a character flaw set upon us at birth through Adam and Eve. In order to get an understanding of what The Lord is pointing out sometimes The Lord will use defects in our body to point out the defects in our spirit. This is a part of His chastisement for He chastise those whom He loves. But when it is not a chastisement, it is use to make you stronger. In most cases there is a spiritual attack launch against you. Know this, what the Enemy meant for bad God turns it around for good. Genesis 50:20.
The Lord is known for flipping the script on The Enemy, and in the process of it all the challenges we face it should leaves us depending totally on The Lord. What are you leaning on when trials come to test you. A misstep may not be a misstep, and does not always mean off balance, or out of alignment, it can mean to Detour which means - a long or roundabout route that The Lord have you take to avoid something on that path, or a visit somewhere else along the way all in God's divine order and used as a process of removal of things that has been blocking you. like the Israelite's In The Wilderness The Lord has to remove these strong holds in order to move you into what he purpose you for Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in The Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path. Even when your in a pit.
For Example: Genesis 37:14-36 Joseph was sent on a path by his father to see about his brothers and report back to him about their whereabouts. Joseph was one with the gift of dreams and dream interpretation. His brothers seen him coming from afar off maybe because of that unique coat of colors his father made for him. Was telling about his dreams to his brother a serious misstep that became a Limp, or A Divine Detour orchestrated by God. I mean to tell such a dream that interpret his whole family bowing down to him seems a bit arrogant, I mean even his father question it, but still consider the matter. There is a combination of spiritual activity surrounding Joseph situation because we have here The Spirit of Envy, Murder, Hate, and Pride operating in this arena. If you look deeper you will find The Spirit of Pride in Joseph as he struts in the Coat his father made for him which represent a covering in The Spirit like in the Garden of Eden after the fall of man the first (Spiritual Limp of humanity).
The Lord sew fig leaves together to cover Adam and Eve’ nakedness For they became uncovered. Sometimes The Lord allow The Enemy to have his way with limitations only to bring into play the plan The Almighty God has for your life. Joseph First Detour. Joseph brothers set up to kill him (A Murdering Spirit has infiltrated the minds of his brothers) because he was his father's favorite, but Ruben convince them not to do it, so they strip off the coat (uncovered) their father made for him first, and then they threw him in a pit. Even though it is not mention Joseph had to encounter some knots, scrapes, and bruises when he hit the bottom of this pit. (Hitting Rock Bottom). The intent was for him to die in that pit. In Ruben absent the other brothers who envy and hated Joseph saw a company of Ishmaelites coming through, and Judah decided they should sell him into slavery with the others agreeing.
His Brothers sibling rivalry against Joseph (Am I My Brothers Keeper) was clear when their words - let’s see what becomes of his dreams now was utter Gen 37:20. The Second Detour. This lead to Joseph being a servant in Potiphar's house, but Potiphar seen The Lord's favor on Joseph, for Joseph prosper in everything he was assigned to do, so he became head over all that Potiphar had, but His wife. Potiphar’s wife desire to have Joseph. It was to the point she became to burn in lust. She arranged for all the house servants to be sent away so she may have her way with Joseph. Her attempt to seduce Joseph failed, so she grab him by his coat in a way of being forceful which lead Joseph to flee leaving his coat behind another coat strip (uncovered) from Joseph. This refusal in other words rejection of Potipher's wife seduction led to the false accusation of rape which landed him in prison (another pit) we will call these pit falls. Another, trip up or (Fall) design by the enemy.
Third Detour. This action setup Joseph to be in a position for God’s Divine plan to use the gifts He in stored in Joseph for such a time as then, for Joseph found favor even in prison. A promotion in prison came after Joseph interpreting the dreams of The Cupbearer, and the cook of Pharaoh, whom were put into jail by Pharaoh. This leads to Joseph becoming the only one to interpret Pharaoh's dreams, which put Him second in charge over all of Egypt. This was at least a Twenty Year process of stumbles, trip ups, and falls downs while limping into his destiny bringing into play the unfolding of prophetic dreams The Lord gave Joseph when he was younger. The Limps of Pride, bumps, and bruises, trips ups and fall downs took a twenty year process for The Lord to remove all the hurt from the heart of Joseph.
In this process of this time The Lord set the stage for Joseph brothers to be confronted with the evil they have done bringing them to repentance as they bow down to him unknowingly. The rejected, and hated brother becomes The One The Lord Uses to deliver his family out of the famine that struck the Land of Canaan, and the whole outskirts of Egypt. The only place with the supply of grain stored up by the Divine intervention brought through Joseph Limp. For his limp was his unknowing Pride and a taste for revenge slowly removed over time by The Divine. Many of the falls downs in his life became his push ups that place him in position to become The Overseer over all of Egypt.
When things begin to happen all of a sudden, as in hitting your Big Toe on the refrigerator door, leaving an effect that turns into a series of trip ups, and fall downs resulting to having surgery on the injured toe, A cutting away to remove the toenail that begins to grow into your skin causing it to swell and become infected. So the treatment for this involves cutting away the old for new growth and applying cream to kill the infection that came about, and bandaging the toe. Then I find myself going through this every time I go to my foot doctor with a reapplying of nitrate stick to the wound. A painful process I’m still going through. This represents a process of pruning in the Spirit. Preparing me for the next step The Lord is ordering in my life. Very Painful!
As The Lord directs you in life you will continue to go through some trip ups and downs along the path that may leave you limping. Your Limps is your flaws we all have them, but don’t stay in them get back up and allow The Lord to continue to directing you through it all for He will perfect that concerning you. Now I’m facing a diagnose of a Blood Disorder another stumbling block thrown in my path. These type of circumstances can leave you really Limping. Falling is not all that bad as long as you allow The Lord to help you get back up. Holding on to The Lord’s unchanging hand lessen the impact, but it does not forfeit the pain. Get Up do not stay in your mess or the entrapment the enemy sets for you.
Allow The Lord to strengthen you through the pain and pressure. This Limp has set me on another path that allows me to be able to share my faith in different ways with different people I have met along the way, but I’m on the same Journey still Pressing for the mark for The High Calling in Christ. This Limp allows me to engage in social topics that lead to a conversation about The Lord In the waiting room with other patients, and while waiting to see my doctor as God uses me to encourage others, even with the different drivers who work for The Transportation Lift that escort me to and fro to my doctors appointments. I believe the name Lift is a spiritual way of The Lord is telling me He is carrying me through it all. I witness to People at the bus terminals when I go to and fro to the store. Nurses that tend me, I also sharing my faith with my New Oncologist, and my Hematologist who’s been the assigned specialist for me for two years now, and with my Primary Care doctor.
So many people The Lord has put in my path to witness to and pray over. Some after our conversation asked me can I pray over them right then and there before I ask them can I pray for them. My Hematologist tells me I’m blessing her when I come to see her. Most of them just open up to me pouring out their issues in life, and their emotions. During this journey Witnessing for The Lord has kept my mind off of my own situation. If I was to write about all the people The Lord has put in my path during this journey this would be a book all by itself. So when your going through and The Enemy comes in like a flood The Lord will raise a standard against him which is The Word of God Isaiah 59:19 b. Even in your painful time God uses you and all of your handicap For His Glory.
The Enemy expected me to draw up in a corner somewhere when I got the news about my blood cancer, but that is not where I’m at, at alI. I just live to Glorify The Lord. Wherever He sends me a detour it is not a bad thing. I understand we have to go through the fire and the rain. The pruning is a painful situation but while you're limping keep your mind stayed on The Lord, He will keep you in perfect peace for those who keep their mind stayed on Him Isaiah 26:3. So in your trip ups and fall downs, flaws and limps keep walking on the path as The Lord guide you through. He will keep you on The Path of Righteousness for His name Sake. Glorified Him and continue to Lift up The Name of Jesus as you Limp Through it all. Remember to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord. As long as you have Jesus as your compass you will be drinking from this cup even in the wilderness.
CUP OF DESTINY
2 Corinthians 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing Is God, who also has given us The Spirit as a guarantee.
6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with The Lord.
9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before The Judgment Seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
