The Pruning In The Spirit
John 15:2
John 15:2
"Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit."
Hello Saints of God! This devotional focus is on The Pruning -The Cutting Away. This message from The Lord was giving in more than one of the devotionals The Holy Spirit has inspired me to write. This one came about during a surgical procedure I went through on the 26 of June 2019 at Kenilworth Parkside Health Center during my foot doctor appointment. I went in due to the continue problem I was having with my big toe that was hit by the Refrigerator door causing my toe to swell.
During this visit my toe had overlap flesh on the toe with swelling cause by a ingrown toenail that was cutting into my skin unbeknown to me. It was a painful unawareness due to it’s process was slow, looking only as if it was a swollen toe that was taken a long time to heal. The foot doctor came in the room and look at the toe and explained the importance of early treatment is very necessary to prevent infection which I am prone to because of my diabetes.
She had her assistant with her, and without any warning they began the procedure of cutting away my toe nail. First they spray my toe with a freeze agent call ethyl chloride spray to numb my toe as an anesthesia. The only thing is, I felt every cut it did not prevent me from feeling the pain, then she cut the flesh on the left side of my toe that lap over. I screamed with my hands over my face. The pain was intense but the process was quick like taking the hedge clippers and cutting off a branch, then trimmed the bushes. This is so the toe can heal and the toe nail can grow back evenly.
The Lord show me this is also the process His servants are going through during The Pruning Process, The cutting away. For the ones who are against His plan he using the Uprooting Process. The Lord had me to research on how a tree is pruned so we can get a better understanding. I’m no gardener but God Is. If you look into the scriptures you will find that The Lord work is more in the Garden. He compares this world as a garden He is cultivating everything within. After He had created man in His image and in His likeness Genesis 1:27-28. He place him in a Garden to dress it. Genesis 2:15.
God’s prunes His Trees He planted (mankind) to remove damaged branches, allow for new growth or create a distinctive shape. Jesus said in John 15:1-2 He is the True Vine and My father is the husbandman (Gardener). Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Like a Gardener The Lord can do light pruning or remove dead wood at any time, but if The Gardeners goal is larger, which is God’s intent. He plans His pruning around the seasons.
For Example: Pruning in the winter will result in an explosion of growth during the spring bringing forth a Revival within His Garden. Pruning during the summer will slow the growth of the cut branch, it's God’s way of strategy when He is shaping His tree in a unique way for a specific mission. God Remove’s the branches that show signs of damage first. Whether they were damaged by a storm or some other events like childhood trauma, any type of abuse you have been through that still haunts your mind. Fear is the main hindrance in our walk with Christ. All of us deal with this Spirit one way or another.
A Unforgiving heart that's blocking your growth, Some friends you need to let go,for they are hindering your progress, what are you holding on to, or attached to that is holding you back from giving God your all. Broken branches should be pruned so that the water (Living Water) and nutrients (Bread of Life) that are still consuming from The Tree Get Redistributed To Healthy Branches in The Spirit

This is a metaphor for the talents (Gifts) God has distribute to His servants. Like the parable in Mathew 25:14-30 For that which God Has given that is not use for His Glory will be taken, and given to those who uses the Gifts God has given them for His Glory. And the useless Servant is cast out, for He was no servant of God. This also goes under the scripture Faith without works is dead. There are to many dead branches cluttering up The Garden and have to be depose of.
James 2:14-6 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath Faith, and have not works? Can Faith Save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so Faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my Faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou does well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But will thou know, O vain man, that Faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For As The Body Without The Spirit Is Dead, So Faith Without Works Is Dead also.
The Lord will prune The Branches that act as obstructions. Whether they're low branches (those in the pews) that are blocking your walk in Christ or higher branches (those in Leadership) threatening your telephone wires (prayer life) , rubbing on your roof, or overhang your house (Blocking your prayers from reaching God). Also The Lord will prune the branches that are causing some type of annoyance. The Cutting Away is also an individual process of removing anything that is obstructing your hearing, your vision, and your walk with The Lord. Amen!
This is the insight The Lord reveal to me concerning This Branch of Zion as well as in The Body of Christ. As Jesus said - He is The vine and we are The Branches. Is your Tree Water, are your branches being prune? Some to be shaped for a unique purpose to Glorified The Lord others to be removed. For there is no fruit as The Fig Tree only had leaves Jesus than curse the tree and it wither away Mark 11:12-1, Mark 11:20,21. Like the Fruitless Tree When Sin consume us we risk at being whether away. But For those who remain obedient you are just being pruned and shaped and revived to be use in a magnificent way. The Lord said some branches are already fallen off and he is cleaning up the debris.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth
in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in
the Law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he
shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his
fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he
doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like
the chaff which the wind driveth away. No this For those
who are truly in Christ, those
who abide in
Christ as Christ
abide in them
The Individual Pruning Process is a Painful Process. Romans 8:18-23 - But we
reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with
The Glory which shall be revealed in us. For He Shall Be Magnified, and He Shall
Be Glorified as We Lift up The Name of Jesus for He is worthy to be Praise!
